Welcome to our own blog spot. We will update this each week with brief notes about what we are learning in the next week.

English
In English this week the children will be learning about capitals letters, full stops, conjunctions and adjectives. We will also be learning about homophones such as two, too and to.

Maths
Mrs Harding’s and Mrs Morgan’s groups will be learning about division with and without remainders. We will be moving onto problem solving and word problems with division and multiplication.

In Mrs Sarsfield’s  group this week the children will be learning about time. They will be exploring digital and analogue time as well as the 24 hour clock. By the end of the week the children will be learning about decimals: tenths, hundredths and ordering decimals.

RE
Journeys
The children will be researching the different gospels and choosing their favourite one. They will also be finding out about children’s liturgy during Sunday Mass. They will be creating an activity linked to a gospel.

Topic
Bright Sparks
We are using the International Primary Curriculum for our topic work. The current topic is called
‘Bright Sparks.’ It is all about electricity. This week we will be finding out how we can change circuits and also what materials allow electricity to flow through them. They will also find out what insulators and conductors are.

Spanish
In Spanish we will be learning about different types of animals and their habitats.
