Welcome to our blog. The children enjoyed the trip to the copper mines and
were very well behaved on both of the days.
Homework was
sent out last week again and we appreciate it if it is brought back on Thursday
so it can be marked. There are a few children who are bringing it back late.

ENGLISH
This week we will
be learning lots of writing skills such as:
List sentences –
writing a sentence with lists of things and commas in them such as cabbages,
carrots and onions.
2 A sentences –
putting two adjectives before each noun such as huge, red wagon.
Uplevelling and
improving a story. Adding adverbs, time phrases and adjectives.
We will also be
completing a dictation when the children write down what is being said to them.
MATHS Mrs

The children will
be working on addition and subtraction.
We will be
practising column addition up to thousands, hundreds and tens and units. We will be learning how to subtract with and without borrowing a ten.
They will be tested on their times tables on Thursday and we are concentrating on the eight and nine timetables.

The children
will be working on division and multiplication.

RE Promises
The children will
be reflecting on promises that they have tried to keep and promises that they
have not kept. The children will also be thinking about places and situations
when you give promises.
Topic
The children will also be learning about
animals in the Stone Age. We will be thinking about the end of the Stone Age
and the start of the Iron Age.
Science
The children will be leaning about how soil is formed.
