Monday 24 th February

Welcome back to a new half term and to our blog. There will be no homework this week and we will send out a new project homework next week.
The new topic for the homework will have the theme of water.

Please remember that swimming starts this week on Tuesday afternoon.
The Year 4 will arrive back at about 3.30pm. Please remember all uniform needs to be named and medical forms need returning too. No jewellery is permitted so earrings MUST be removed during swimming. Thank you for your help on this matter.

Please make sure that PE kits are back in school for the first day as PE starts from Monday afternoon.

RE
We will be continuing a new topic called GIVING AND RECEIVING.
We will be thinking about going to Mass and why people go to Mass.
We will be learning all about the Pentitential rite and saying sorry during Mass.

ENGLISH
In English this week we will be reviewing narrative writing.
We will be analysing stories and then planning and writing a story on Friday.

Monday 10th February

Project homework
The children produced excellent project homework last term and they presented their work in lots of ways. It was wonderful to see how much everyone had enjoyed their work.
This half term’s topic is
What’s on the menu?
The topic is about the history of food, food around the world, how food is produced and health and diet.

Examples of work: power points, large posters, models, map work, written reports, songs, videos, menus,  etc.

Your child will be expected to give a short presentation to the rest of the class to show their finished product, during the last week: February 10th to 14th February.
Good luck and once again we are really looking forward to the wonderful creations and great ideas. 
Please note this is to replace the sentence homework. However, there are a few children who are not completing their homework and teachers may ask them  to do sentences homework instead.       

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to come in and see one of the three and four team.

RE

We will be learning all about the Eucharist and Holy Communion.
