Welcome to the summer term.
Please remember that we have an Inset day on Tuesday 22nd April. The Year 4 must be getting really excited about Kingswood. We leave around twelve o clock on Wednesday and hope to be back around 3 o clock but delays and traffic made it a lot later last year. We will communicate with school about an expected time of arrival.
CLOTHING FOR KINGSWOOD
ALL activities require long sleeves and trousers.
Pyjamas/Nightdress, Dressing Gown
Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Soap (in box) – NO SPRAYS
Towels – 1 large/1 small
Hairbrush/Comb
Trousers, Tracksuits, Shirts/Blouses, Jumpers – Long Sleeves
(Quick Drying Clothes - Two complete changes)
Underwear and Socks – (Two changes)
Pair of Pumps, Slippers, Shoes, Training Shoes - preferably
with gripping soles for walking and wellies
Anorak/Coat with Hood or Hat/Gloves
Outfit for Disco
Clear Plastic Bag for dirty clothing
Clothes for Night-time Campfire – Warm Coat

SNACKS - As stated in the letter snacks will be provided by staff from the money you sent in, so children do not need to bring a snack.

RE
In RE this week the children will be starting a new topic New life – serving. The children will be listening to a story related to new life and will be thinking about a time when they have been sad and miserable and then things change and their feelings change into happiness and excitement
ENGLISH
This week the year three will be doing lots of activities related to improving their writing.
The children will learn what a BOYS sentence is. That is using the connectives
BUT, OR, YET AND SO.
It was a warm day, yet storm clouds gathered over the distant mountains.
The children will also be learning how to write list sentences such as
I was a dark, long, leafy lane.
She had a cold, cruel cackle.
MATHS
In maths the year three will be learning all about symmetry.
