Monday 20th January

Welcome to our blog spot.
HOMEWORK
Homework has started again at the end of last week and the new project topic homework has been sent out too. See below for details. Spellings were sent home in diaries and my maths homework is available on line too for two weeks.

Project homework
The children produced excellent project homework last term and they presented their work in lots of ways. It was wonderful to see how much everyone had enjoyed their work.
This half term’s topic is
What’s on the menu?
The topic is about the history of food, food around the world, how food is produced and health and diet.

Examples of work: power points, large posters, models, map work, written reports, songs, videos, menus,  etc.

Your child will be expected to give a short presentation to the rest of the class to show their finished product, during the last week: February 10th to 14th February.

Good luck and once again we are really looking forward to the wonderful creations and great ideas.
Please note this is to replace the sentence homework. However, there are a few children who are not completing their homework and teachers may ask them  to do sentences homework instead.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to come in and see one of the three and four team.

RE
We will be continuing with a new topic on local community. The children will understand what it means to belong to a community.
The children will be thinking about responsibility and commitment helping a community to function well.  We will also be exploring what it would be like if we had no community.
