Welcome to our blog. Last week we started to practise the Christmas play songs. This week we will be practising more and allocating parts after we do  small auditions for singing and acting.  

Homework

Homework was sent out and the homework will need to be in this Thursday please. The spellings will be tested on the Friday morning. We have noticed quite a few children not learning the spellings. Thank you for your support in this. My maths exercises and tasks have been set up and these will need completing by the end of the half term.

 ENGLISH

This week we will be learning more about playscripts.

We will be starting to write playscripts and centering it around Cinderella and other pantomines.

We will also be learning more about different adjectives and nouns.

The children need to know that an ADJECTIVE is a describing word and a NOUN is the name of an object, place or thing.

We will also be completing a dictation when the children write down what is being said to them.

We test different concepts during this and use it to assess the children’s learning.

 

MATHS Mrs Harding/ Mrs Morgan

The children will be working on subtraction and finding the difference.

We will be learning how to subtract with and without borrowing a ten.

We will be finding the difference of numbers too.

We will be solving word problems.

RE Promises

The children will be completing an assessment on PROMISES. The children will be starting a new topic on VISITORS.

The children will be learning how the Bronze Age. They will also be learning all about life and characteristics of the Bronze Age. The children will be looking at houses in the Bronze age.
