Welcome to our blog. We are still really working hard to
learn all the play songs and have started to go through the lines. The children
are doing very well and we are really impressed by how well the children are
singing and acting.
Swimming
Swimming has
now finished and we would like to thank the parents and grandparents who helped
us during the ten weeks we went swimming.
Antbullying week
Last week we spent
a lot of time learning about antibullying week and the children really enjoyed
the work as well as learning what to do in a bullying situation. We hope that
the children will use what they have learn in their daily life both in and out
of school.
Homework
Homework was
sent out and the homework will need to be in this Thursday please. The
spellings will be tested on the Friday morning. We have noticed quite a few children
not learning the spellings. Thank you for your support in this. My maths
exercises and tasks have been set up and these will need completing by the end
of the half term.
ENGLISH
This week we
will be learning more about playscripts.

We will be reading a story of Babouska and will be
turning the story into a playscript.
We will be reviewing how to start a sentence such as
using a word ending in ed, a word ending in ing, a time phrase, a place and
although….The children will be working finishing their work on 3d shape.
We will also be starting to learn all about money. Money totals and coins needed for different amounts.
They will be tested
on their times tables on Thursday and we are concentrating on the seven timetables
again.

They will be learning terms such as face, vertex and edge.
The children
will be continuing with the topic VISITORS.
The will be
thinking about the good and bad things about visitors. They will be learning
about Jesus’s ancestry and we will be starting to make a Jesse tree when we
make symbols linked to Jesus’s family. Example apple – Adam and Eve.
