Monday 1st December


Welcome to our blog. The children are working really hard to learn their lines and start acting them out too. The dances are now all done and the children are practising and refining them.
Friday non uniform day/ Christmas fair.

On Friday we are having another own clothes day. Again the children have been asked to bring a wrapped present for a lady, man, boy or girl. On Friday after school there will be our annual Christmas fair with lots of stalls and grotto too.

 Homework
Homework has finished now until the new year as we appreciate how busy December is. However, we will be retesting most of the children on the white spellings sent how both half terms.

 ENGLISH
This week we will be learning about suffixes. That is adding another word onto a word at the end.
such as beautiful, cheerful, lastly, timeless childhood etc.
We will be practising our sentence starters and be concentrating on starting with an ing word at the start of a sentence.
Smiling the girl licked her lips as she could smell the chicken in the oven…
Crying noisily the people ran up the street because…..
Shivering violently the dog……

MATHS Mrs Harding/ Mrs Morgan
We will be doing lots of revision work such as number sequences, shape, addition, subtraction, temperature etc.
The children will be tested on their times tables on Thursday and we are concentrating on the eight timetables again.

MATHS Mrs Sarsfield
The children will be finishing their work on shape and completing some work on revision.
The children will be reviewing the four rules and also temperature and time.
The children will be completing a timetables test too.

RE Promises
The children will be continuing with the topic VISITORS.
We will be learning all about Isaiah’s role as a prophet, preparing the people for God’s coming.
We will be making a poem about Visitors and also be making some prayers.
